Askina® Pad is non-adherent ready-to-use compress. It consists of an absorbent pad with a low-adherent wound contact layer that is gentle to the skin and non-woven fabric.


Askina® Pad is indicated for the management of post-operative wounds and superficial wounds. It is primarily intended to be used as a mechanical barrier, for compression or for absorption of exudate.

Material

Askina® Pad is composed of three layers:

  • Layer 1: Hydrophobic backing polyester
  • Layer 2: Super-absorbing fiber (70 % viscose, 30 % polyester)
  • Layer 3: Non-adherent polyethylene for skin contact
